From mid-November 2026, Warrandyte Road Clinic plans to offer GP-led ADHD assessment, diagnosis and treatment in Ringwood.

Following recent Victorian Government reforms, specially trained GPs can now diagnose and initiate treatment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), helping patients access care without necessarily requiring a referral to a psychiatrist or paediatrician.

We’re pleased to announce that Dr Michelle Zhang has successfully completed the additional training required to diagnose and treat ADHD under the new Victorian framework.

Dr Zhang is currently preparing to introduce this service at Warrandyte Road Clinic, with appointments expected to become available from mid-November 2026.

What does this mean for patients?

The new service aims to make ADHD care more accessible and convenient for individuals and families in Ringwood and Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

Eligible patients will be able to access:

  • ADHD assessments and diagnosis by a specially trained GP.
  • ADHD treatment and medication initiation, where clinically appropriate.
  • Ongoing treatment, medication monitoring and follow-up care.
  • Specialist referrals where more complex assessments or management are required.

The new Victorian reforms allow appropriately trained GPs to provide ADHD care for adults and children aged six years and over. Eligibility and appointment arrangements for our clinic’s service will be confirmed closer to commencement.

Stay tuned!

Bookings for ADHD assessment and treatment service are expected to open in mid-November 2026.

Further details about appointments, assessment procedures and fees will be published on our website soon.
