Warrandyte Road Clinic is now offering echocardiogram services, in partnership with Advara HeartCare — a trusted and fully accredited cardiac diagnostics provider.

What is an Echocardiogram?

An echocardiogram is a simple, non-invasive ultrasound test that allows us to assess:

  • Your heart rhythm
  • Blood flow through the heart
  • The size and function of your heart chambers
  • Signs of valve disease or other cardiac conditions

This valuable imaging tool helps your doctor better understand your heart health and guide further treatment if needed.

What to Expect During the Test

During your appointment:

  • You’ll be asked to remove your shoes and top.
  • Electrodes will be placed on your chest, and warmed gel applied.
  • A trained echocardiographer will gently move an ultrasound probe across your chest to capture images of your heart.
  • You may be asked to hold your breath briefly or change position during the scan.
  • The procedure is painless, although you might feel slight pressure from the probe.

Who Provides This Service?

Echocardiograms at our clinic are performed by an experienced sonographer from Advara HeartCare. The images and data collected are reviewed by a cardiologist, and a detailed report is sent directly to your referring GP.
