Preventive Health
We believe that prevention is better than cure.
Staying on top of your health means more than just seeing a doctor when you are sick. It means taking proactive steps to protect yourself against illness and detect potential issues early.
We offer a comprehensive range of preventive services, from routine immunisations to specialized travel medicine and screening.
Immunisation Services
Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and the community from serious infectious diseases.
Seasonal & Routine Vaccines
- Influenza (Flu): We provide annual flu vaccinations for all ages. Government-funded (free) vaccines are available for eligible groups (e.g., over 65s, children under 5, pregnant women, and those with chronic medical conditions). Find out more
- COVID-19: We offer COVID-19 boosters to help maintain immunity against severe illness. Find out more

Mpox (Monkeypox) Vaccination
Our clinic provides the Mpox vaccine (JYNNEOS®) for eligible high-risk individuals.
- Eligibility: Criteria for free access to this vaccine are determined by the Department of Health. Please speak to our team to check if you are eligible.
- Confidentiality: Our service is discreet, non-judgmental, and focused on your safety.
Travel Medicine & Yellow Fever
Planning a trip overseas? Different destinations carry different health risks. We can provide up-to-date advice on how to stay healthy while traveling.
- Travel Advice: We review your itinerary and medical history to recommend the necessary vaccines and medications (e.g., malaria prophylaxis). Find out more
- Yellow Fever Vaccine: Warrandyte Road Clinic is an accredited Yellow Fever vaccination centre. If you are traveling to parts of Africa or South America, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to enter certain countries or to re-enter Australia. We can administer the vaccine and provide the official “Yellow Book” certificate. Find out more
Please book your travel appointment at least 6 weeks before you leave, as some vaccines take time to become effective.
Sexual Health & STI Screening
Sexual health is an important part of your overall wellbeing. Many Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) do not show symptoms, meaning you can have an infection without knowing it.
- Screening: We offer simple, confidential testing (usually a urine test or blood test) for common infections such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, and HIV.
- Management: If a result is positive, we provide discreet treatment and advice.
- Peace of Mind: We recommend routine screening for anyone with new or multiple partners. It is a responsible, normal part of looking after your health. Find out more
Other Preventive Checks
- Cervical Screening Tests (CST): Replacing the old Pap smear, widely recommended every 5 years for women aged 25–74.
- Bowel Cancer Screening: Reviewing FOBT results and discussing referral for colonoscopy if required.
- Heart Health Checks: Assessing blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes risk.
