Skin Check Appointments For Bayswater Patients

Putting off a skin check is easy, especially when you are not sure a spot is worth worrying about. Warrandyte Road Clinic offers skin checks in Ringwood, close enough to Bayswater to make booking one simple.

Your appointment is with a GP, who uses a dermatoscope, a handheld magnifying device, to look closely at your skin and explains what they find in plain language.

If a spot needs attention, your doctor will talk you through your options, which can include monitoring, a biopsy or removal. Many procedures can be done in our treatment room with our skin cancer surgery service. We also offer ear microsuction and iron infusions, along with senior’s health care for older patients.

Skin cancer qualifications at the clinic include a Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery and a Certificate of Dermoscopy, held by Dr Jason Oh, and qualifications from the Skin Cancer College Australasia and the University of Queensland, held by Dr Sia Tan.

Ready to book? Book online or phone 03 9870 9000 and our reception team will help with the rest.

    Frequently asked questions

Skin Check Bayswater: Your Questions Answered

How do I get from Bayswater to your clinic?

About 6.3 km (9–22 minutes by car) via Canterbury Road and Bedford Road, with a free parking lot. By train, take the Belgrave line to Ringwood station at Eastland. The trip takes about 27 minutes door to door, including about a 15-minute walk from the station.

Do I need a special appointment?

Yes. Please book a standard dedicated skin check appointment. You can book online, or phone 03 9870 9000.

Are all new spots skin cancer?

No. Most new spots are harmless, such as freckles or age spots. It can be hard to tell the difference by eye, so it is a good idea to mention new or changing spots to your doctor.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. You are welcome to bring a family member or friend.

    Can I have a chaperone?

Yes. Ask reception or your doctor and we will arrange one.

Is payment needed on the day?

Yes. Our doctors work in private practice, so payment is expected on the day. Reception can tell you which Medicare rebates may apply. Procedures such as skin cancer excisions need a longer consult, so tell reception when you book and ask what fees may apply.

    Are you open on Saturdays?

Yes, from 8:30am to 11:30am. On weekdays we are open 8am to 6:30pm, and we are closed on Sundays.
